AutumnalMood Beautiful and desperate, with an epic ambient ending. Enters the must-have music albums of depressive/atmospheric black metal. Favorite track: Wandering Aimlessly.

H.L. Post black metal is often boring, undynamic and/or corny, but not so AUTUMN's DAWN. Okay, the basically convincing opener "Dying Ember" contains some ding-dong-ding synthesizer sounds, which I personally do not really appreciate in black metal, but then the album explodes into deep emotionality. It finds its climax in "Wandering Aimlessly", a touching depressive black metal track and stays grand until the end, mainly because of the mixture of desperate screams and soulful clean vocals. Favorite track: Wandering Aimlessly.
